Manufacturing Process

           Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Plate Manufacturing

Heating
Steel slabs are heated to temperatures between 1100°C and 1300°C in a furnace to facilitate the rolling process.

Rolling
The heated steel is passed through a series of rollers to reduce the thickness and achieve the desired dimensions. The high temperatures allow the steel to be formed more easily.

Cooling and Coiling
After rolling, the plates are cooled, either in the air or with water. The cooled plates are then coiled for shipment or further processing.

Pickling and Annealing
Hot rolled steel coils are first pickled to remove any oxidation or scale. The steel is then annealed to soften it and improve its mechanical properties.

Cold Rolling
The annealed steel is fed through a set of rollers at room temperature to achieve the desired thickness and surface finish. Cold rolling refines the grain structure, enhancing the steel’s strength and dimensional precision.

Surface Treatment
After rolling, the plates are often treated with a coating such as galvanizing or painting to enhance their resistance to corrosion.

Coiling and Packaging
Finally, the cold rolled steel plates are coiled, packaged, and ready for shipping to customers.
